Mockingjay set in February

Sarah Jones was a camera assistant on the movie Midnight Ride. She was killed when she was hit by a train on a trestle bridge that was incredibly unsafe and the news hasn’t hit any mainstream media besides the Hollywood Reporter. Therefore, Hollywood is making the incident known considering how unsafe the entire operation was and that’s why “RIP SARAH JONES” is on that slate.http://www.projectcasting.com/news/the-final-moments-of-sarah-jones-on-set-of-midnight-rider/http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/midnight-rider-accident-sarah-jones-death-gregg-allman-685976?mobile_redirect=false

i never liked gale. in the last bk he is responsible for 2 of my fav characters deaths. r.i.p. finnick &prim.

… exactly what kind of mental gymnastics did you have to go through to think that gale was honestly responsible for finnick’s death when finnick sacrificed himself……

you know what I am going to hijack this post because gale!hate does not belong anywhere within 100 yards of this gifset

like, this precious boy is — to quote katniss, who may or may not be a reliable narrator in this particular scene, because, let’s remember, she was so beside herself that she had to be carried from the room and held down by not one but two men until she calmed the fuck down — “whipped within an inch of his life” for (in the films) going to town on a peacekeeper to defend the people of 12 / (in the books) trying to sell a turkey and support his family

this boy is the most gryffindor, and he catches such hell for it, and that scares katniss, partly for his well-being and partly because he is so much braver and so much more selfless than katniss sees herself as ever having the potential to be

gale is what katniss thinks people want her to be, what she thinks she should be, and yet what she doesn’t want to be, because she knows — especially by this point, she knows — what that costs, what’s at stake when you fight back against the capitol

(and it’s all she can do to hold onto him. the books and the movies both get this, and there are a lot of things the movie doesn’t get/doesn’t get well, but look at the way katniss touches him. those are not the touches of somebody who’s trying to comfort. those are the needy, greedy touches of someone grasping at straws, looking for proof that he’s still there, still warm and alive and not going anywhere)

gale knows, too, though, and yet he fights

gale hawthorne becomes a rebel, knowing and accepting that his actions could very well cost him everything, even and especially when they do end up costing him dearly
